Introducing the Homeschool Remix Mixtape Lesson Pack
Need high-quality, "done-for-you" lessons? Don't worry-- we got you.
The Homeschool Remix Mixtape Lesson Pack weaves essential critical thinking and media literacy skills throughout lessons and projects in STEM, cultural history and social studies, financial literacy and entrepreneurship, life skills, cultural arts, health and wellbeing, and character and ethics.
The engaging, self-guided lessons are professionally researched, cited, and designed to be tailored to your child’s specific learning style. They are grab and go, requiring little or no prep from parents, and your child completes them at their own pace.
They are perfect for middle and high school students! And the best part is that they work whether or not you homeschool— in fact they are perfect for “filling in the gaps” left by our current education system.
These lessons can be used by homeschoolers in conjunction with their chosen homeschooling curriculum, with traditional school, or even on their own.

How the Homeschool Remix Mixtape Works

Each Mixtape contains 16 lessons and four projects.
Core subjects cover topics and skills that students rarely learn adequately in the traditional classroom, such as: media literacy, STEM, cultural history and social studies, financial literacy and entrepreneurship, life skills, cultural arts, health and wellbeing, and character and ethics.
The longer projects may include books, coding/tech projects, research, etc.
Parents Get the Ball Rolling
Parents can print out the lesson pages or allow the student to view the pdf on their own devices. Links to additional resources such as videos, etc. are also provided.
Guidance for differentiation and scaffolding (adjusting lessons for different types of learners or for older/younger students) is also included in the separate Parent’s Guide.
Students Complete Each Lesson and Project at Their Own Pace.
Each lesson should take about 60 to 90 minutes, and projects are designed to take longer and be spread out over several days or weeks.
The lessons are “gamified”— students earn points and badges for completing lessons and doing well on projects, quizzes, and assignments.
Parents Assess Learning and Progress
Parents assess learning by reviewing and grading the student’s output according to provided rubrics, as well as by conducting a verbal mini-review after the lesson.
Students also self-assess by completing quizzes and check-ins during the course of the lesson.
Wins and
Achievements are Celebrated
Progress and performance is tracked, recognized and rewarded.
Parents can choose to incentivize achievements, points, and badges with rewards (privileges or allowance, etc.)
